Cloverly Quilt from Cozy Quilts for the Modern Home - Virtual book tour
When I was invited to join the blog hop for Cozy Quilts for the Modern Home, written by my friend Abby Luchsinger (who many of you may know as the designer behind Abbymaed), I didn’t have to think very long about which project I wanted to make. The Cloverly Quilt immediately felt like a quiet promise of spring. Even while we are still deep in winter, with snow outside and gray days lingering, those little clover shapes felt like a reminder that warmth and light always find their way back.
That is what this quilt became for me. A sign of spring before it arrives. A small act of hope stitched into fabric. Just like life, even when things feel heavy, darkness does not last forever.
Choosing the Fabric
To really lean into that feeling of spring, I used Summer in Town. The soft florals and fresh colors brought little blooms into my sewing room, even when everything outside was still frozen. I love how the floral prints play with the clover shapes. They add life and softness, and they remind me that spring does not show up all at once. It arrives quietly, bit by bit, just like these fabrics coming together in the quilt.
The Cloverly Quilt
Cloverly is one of those patterns that feels gentle but intentional. The blocks are simple and thoughtful, and when they come together, they create movement without feeling busy. As I was sewing it, I kept thinking about how much care must have gone into designing this pattern and the book as a whole. You can feel the heart behind it. This quilt was such a joy to work on during winter. Sewing it felt warm in more ways than one. It is the kind of project that invites you to slow down, press your seams, and really enjoy the process.
about the book
Cozy Quilts for the Modern Home is exactly what the title promises. It is filled with quilts that feel warm, approachable, and livable. The projects are thoughtfully designed, the instructions are clear, and there is so much care poured into every page. This book feels like an invitation to create quilts that fit into real life. Quilts that are used, loved, and wrapped around the people we care about. Being part of this blog hop has been such an honor, especially knowing how much work and heart went into bringing this book to life.
If you are looking for a quilt project that feels comforting and hopeful, Cloverly is such a beautiful place to start. And if you are needing a reminder that brighter days are ahead, this quilt might just whisper that to you as you sew. Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing this moment with me.
