Small Space, Big Upgrade: My New Sewing Cabinet from Arrow

Limited space hasn’t stopped me from creating. But I recently added the Sydney Dual Rail Cabinet from Arrow Sewing to my sewing space, and it has been such a thoughtful upgrade, especially in a limited space like mine.

Before this, I was sewing on a 30" x 42" adjustable table. Since I can only fit one table in my sewing room, that meant every time I needed to start cutting fabric for a new project, I had to move my machine off the table just to make space. It worked, but it wasn’t ideal, especially when I was mid-project and trying to keep the momentum going.

Now, with the quilt leaf extension, I finally have the extra surface I’ve always needed. It folds out easily and gives me room to cut, press, and spread out without having to rearrange everything.

I also had a custom insert made for my machine, and it has made sewing much smoother. It creates a flat surface around the machine, which means less drag on my fabric and more consistent stitching. It’s one of those little changes that feels like a big deal once you’ve used it.

Even though I’m almost always sewing (seriously, it’s rare that I’m not), I love that I can still tuck my machine away when needed. The cabinet keeps things neat and blends right into the room when it’s closed up.

This upgrade has made my small sewing space feel more efficient and a lot more enjoyable.

Little by little, it's all coming together.
